CVS Caremark, the nation’s largest pharmacy health care provider, selected Darland to build 21 stores across four states. With an average store size of more than 13,000 square feet, Darland completed construction of stores in 14 cities totaling more than 270,000 square feet.

Darland worked to meet aggressive timelines without sacrificing quality. “On one store, delays kept us from getting started, but CVS wanted to open before Thanksgiving,” said Project Manager Mike Thomsen. By focusing on subcontractor scheduling and working seven days a week, Darland met the client’s goal. “The store opened in 11 weeks, They were really pleased and maybe a little surprised,” Thomsen said.
