Project Summary
Faith Regional Behavioral Health
Darland completed a nearly 21,000-square-foot build-out on the fourth floor of Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk, Nebraska. The new behavioral health unit (BHU) features 18 private patient rooms, two nurses’ stations, and areas dedicated to dining and recreation.
“Starting with a blank slate allowed us to design the unit very specifically for behavioral health services,” said Tom Lee, FRHS vice president of support and ancillary services. “There is a very open feel with easier visual access across the unit. In addition, the large picture windows allow lots of sunlight creating a very bright and uplifting feel.”
Relocating the BHU fulfilled one of the hospital’s strategic goals of having all inpatient services located on the hospital’s main campus.
