Darland Construction completed a 28,000 square foot clinic for Alegent Creighton Health in Council Bluffs. The single-story, free-standing clinic includes reception and office spaces, 42 exam rooms, three nurses' stations, a physical therapy treatment area and an on-site pharmacy. Wood, masonry and metal panels are incorporated in the structure, while clerestory windows bring natural light into interior rooms.

"Darland is a contractor we work with regularly. We have a high level of confidence in the company and especially the group of people we work with. Darland has an excellent team." said Jeff Sorensen, project manager and system architect for Alegent Creighton Health.

"One of Darland’s strongest contributions was their estimating," Sorensen said. "It was amazing how close the final costs were to their original estimates." 

"Plus, we really like Mark Laughlin, Darland’s field superintendent on this job. He was fantastic at managing the change orders that came from us and our architect. He made many recommendations along the way that allowed us to implement changes to get the results we wanted, but in more economical ways than we had outlined. He saved us a lot of money. The project was extremely smooth and we’re very pleased with the results." 

The clinic is located at 31st and West Broadway in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
