Gretna Logistics Park breaks ground
Darland recently broke ground on a more than 400,000-square-foot spec warehouse near the Nebraska Crossing Outlets in Gretna. The new development, led by NewStreet Properties, aims to fill a growing demand for warehouse space along the I-80 corridor in the Omaha metro. Developers anticipate the area is poised for major industrial growth over the next five to 10 years due to its centralized location and easily accessible transporation access points.
Warehouse I will have a 36-foot clear height, 41 docks with an additonal four drive-in overhead doors, precast walls and cross-docking system to improve efficiency and reduce costs for tenants. Land preparation for the project required nearly one million cubic yards of dirt be moved to flatten the once-hilly farmland.
When completed, the 170-acre ‘Gretna Logistics Park’ will be the Omaha metro’s largest contiguous industrial park with nearly 2 million square feet of industrial and warehouse space.
Warehouse I broke ground in April and is on schedule for completion in March 2024. Cushman & Wakefield/Lund Co. is handling leasing for the new development.
