Darland completed a major hospital addition and renovation for Providence Medical Center (PMC) in Wayne, Nebraska.
"This is our third project in 10 years with PMC, and we're excited to be a part of this Hospital's evolution," said Project Manager Adam Simpson. "By expanding and modernizing the facility, they've been able to continually enhance the level of care for the communities they serve."
A 20,000-square-foot addition was added on the east side of the hospital's campus to accommodate the fast-growing imaging and specialty outpatient services.
The renovation also called for the removal of a second entry point and creating a prominent, secure main entry. "During the pandemic, we had to control access to the building through two separate entrances, so going forward this will provide more security and safety for us," said former PMC CEO Jim Frank.
After the new addition was completed, Darland added then worked on a 20,000-square-foot remodel including an all-new surgical suite, including pre and post-op areas; a material management area; and administrative offices.
